39-year-old male Patient complaints of Swelling over both legs, and breathlessness on exertion for 4-5 years
He was diagnosed with Chronic kidney disease taking treatment for the same for 4-5 years. Shown to multiple centres at Madurai, Chennai, Pune and nearby cities. He is taking 5 antihypertensive tablets at the highest possible doses, still, his BP is on the higher side and not controlled. His serum creatinine was on the higher side always since 4 years. His CAG and renal angiography were done at an outside centre s/o normal epicardial coronaries. He is having 90-95 % left renal artery stenosis. He was referred to Dr. Vaibhav B Patil – Cardiologist in Sinhgad Road for Renal angioplasty. Secondary hypertension which was not controlled by 5 antihypertensives drugs in the maximum possible doses was controlled with renal angioplasty (PTRA) by Dr. Vaibhav.
He underwent successful stenting to the Left renal artery. Post stenting his antihypertensive Drugs are reduced his BP was well controlled, which was not controlled with 5 antihypertensive drugs.
